George White was born in Selma, Alabama and received his Bachelor of
Accounting degree from Alabama State University. In 1978, he moved to New
Orleans to pursue a career in corporate America. Mr. White became an
accomplished member of The Louisiana Society of CPAs, National Association of
Public Accountants, the National Association of Tax Professionals, a member of
the Louisiana Payroll Association, QuickBooks Certified Adviser and an
agent to represent
Mr. White is also a business consultant, and QuickBooks bookkeeping
Instructor. He has done personal financial management seminars and
training for local organizations. He has also, install and trains
business owners to do their own financial reporting such as certified payroll,
bookkeeping and construction estimating. Mr. White, the accountant has helped
Profit and Non-profit business organizations save thousands of dollars in their
businesses by cutting operational cost as well as start-up costs. He has
helped home-based businesses get started; prepared financial plans, analyzed
business plans, assisted with registering with the city and state for licenses
and permits, and helped prepare loans and grant applications for badly needed
funding. Mr. White and his company also, provide SBA 8(a) certifications as
well as other various business certifications to assist small business
development and administrative support services. My favorite quote is
“When Opportunity meets Preparedness the result is Success!”.
While proud of his accomplishments, Mr. White, a bachelor, has another title
he relishes even more, father. Mr. White is the father of one daughter,
Angela. He has encouraged her to pursue her dreams as well. She has
received a degree in pharmacy and also studied tax preparation in Minneapolis,
Minnesota. After completing her training, Angela began preparing tax
returns for her family and friends. She now continues to pass the accounting
baton by starting to teach her children the basics of money management.
George White, Jr. admits that he would not have had the
knowledge or skills to advise people about starting their own businesses if it
had not been for the gifts in business from God. With professional training,
20+ years working in corporate America and running his own business,
Professional Accounting and Tax LLC, he is the founder church Business Ministry
which consists of over 130+ black owned businesses and a active member of The New Orleans East Business Association. Now, the winds of change are blowing across this nation and it is
time to open the windows of our New Orleans East community. Mr. White’s future
goal is in response to the status quo that has resisted change which the
residents of New Orleans East desperately deserve. It is Mr. George White,
Jr.’s dream to represent New Orleans East as its future Councilman with
solutions translated, “Enough is enough, it’s time to make a Change.”
